Compatibility

Does it work? Each page leads with a yes, no, or partial answer, then the requirements and limitations behind it.

How these answers work

The answer comes first

Every page here opens with yes, no, or partly, before any explanation. If the honest answer is "it depends", the page says what it depends on in the same breath rather than making you read to the end to find out.

Partly is a real answer

Most hardware questions are not binary. A controller can pair over Bluetooth but lose its rumble; a card can run a feature at a lower tier than the marketing implies. Those pages say partly and then list exactly what does and does not work, because a flat yes would be the more misleading answer.

Requirements are versioned

Compatibility changes with driver, firmware, and OS releases, so each answer names the versions it was checked against. An answer that was true two driver releases ago is flagged for re-research rather than left standing.

Vendor documentation first

Support matrices and spec sheets come from the vendor wherever they exist. Where the vendor is silent and the only evidence is community reports, the page says so and labels it, rather than presenting a forum consensus as an official requirement.

The rules behind all of this are written down in the editorial standards, and the publishing system enforces them. Found a fix that is wrong, outdated, or unsafe? Tell us — corrections are handled before new pages.
